To safely dispose of your electronic assets, ecycle utilizes a three-stage process to achieve our zero-landfill objective. This process complies with all local, EPA and international regulations regarding the processing of end-of-life electronics materials.

Refurbish equipment - When ecycle receives your equipment, our expert technicians' first goal is to refurbish the equipment to working order. Once functional, the equipment is tested and made available for either resale or donation. During this stage, ecycle uses approved processes to certify the destruction of all data on the disk drives. By refurbishing the entire piece of equipment, ecycle virtually eliminates the resultant electronics waste.

Reusing parts - If the equipment cannot be refurbished, our technicians de-manufacture it to its components. Oftentimes, individual components are functional where the entire machine is not. ecycle works with our vendor network to properly process the components in accordance with all environmental regulations.

Recovering raw materials - When the electronic components are not reusable, ecycle, leverages our partnerships with responsible scrap processors to break down the components into high-grade raw materials. These raw materials, including copper, aluminum, ferrous, plastics, and precious metals are then returned into the manufacturing streams. Raw materials obtained from recycled sources are more cost-effective and environmentally-conscious than the original mining or production.
